mandatory air in scotland
last week me and a few friends headed north to see what sunny scotland had to offer and were we happily surprised first stop was grizedale in the lakes not to full on but perfect for mine and leons shoulders to see how they would hold grizedale has some great single track and north shore with fire road inbertween not bad for a warm up then up to mabie and ae mabie had a great red route and a 3km north shore section called the darkside be prepared you will crash great experince then ae for me one of the highlights the downhill was just my cup of tea roots rocks and rain who could ask for more if you haed there try and book a up lift then over to glentress and inerleithen glentress had some great single track suited to everone but it has to be said that inners blew it out of the water 4 downhill coures and a great red loop the final desent on the downhill is one you will never forget flatout fun a must if you havent alredy been then down to dalby forest in yorkshire again pretty tame compared to the lst 3 but a perfect ease down after scotland some pretty good downhill sections great views and a good little jump spot so all in all a great week with not to many mishaps and mechanicals i highly recomend getting up north for riding its the place to be |

Caersws cup round 3 july 2009 wet event?
This weekend sees the 3rd round of the Caersws Cup downhill championship in mid Wales .I'm heading over there first thing Saturday morning to take photographs Looking forward to the trip on my Honda Pan European fully loaded up with gear. Me and Leon we're meant to be racing at the event but both are injured so it's just our friend Paul flying the flag for team slide and die. It looks like it's gonna be a wet event which always makes things interesting so I'm hoping to have plenty of photographs for my stack attack page. If your heading over it's practice on the Saturday and racing on the Sunday and make sure you bring your water proofs. Look out for team slide and die rider paul watson on his new and shiny (not for long) specialized sx sponsored by LIDL supermarket supplying you your shopping............ whatever the weather. ps photos will be up for caersws cup round 3 first thing Monday 13th July.

mtb not just a summer sport
So we found our selves looking out of a train window on a early cold winters morning heading to our local trails, whilst our girl friends slept sound in their warm beds. 'We must be mental' i thought, heavy snow pounding the side of the train it felt like we were in eastern Russia but we ended up having one of the best scurf's (rides) i can remember. Heavy snow didn't slow us down it just added to the fun. Sliding our way down the trails and not only did we hit the north shore drop we made a new run named the snow badger. So the next time you take a look out the window in preparation for a scurf (ride) don't let rain, sleet or snow hold you back get out there and get stuck in.
